For placement at Sierra Foothills Academy students must be eligible to receive special education services. Program placement into Sierra Foothills Academy is an IEP team decision, based on student needs as identified by current evaluation and intervention results conducted by your school district. While parents and the IEP team can indicate a site preference, site placement can only be facilitated through a referral from the student’s district of residence. Contact your school district’s Special Education department or Placer County SELPA for more information.

What is an IEP?

IEP stands for Individual Education Program. It is a written document that’s developed for each public school child who is eligible for special education. The IEP is created through a team effort and reviewed at least once a year. Read more here.
